What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is a proven method of permanent hair removal developed in the 1800s. It is safe and works on any type of hair.

A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, and delivers a tiny, split-second current. The current destroys the hair root. Hairs are treated using the Apilus SX-500 epilator.

Most hairs require at least three to five treatments for permanent removal, with two to three weeks between treatments.

Pregnant women, clients with skin disorders, or clients wishing to have hair removed from moles should seek physicians’ advice prior to treatment.

Treatment of ears, nostrils, and pubic area is not offered.

Cost is $1.50 per minute. Cash, cheque, credit card, or e-transfer accepted.

My name is Janessa Suderman (Nessie) and owner of Nessie’s Electrolysis Clinic. I am a Registered Nurse (2009) and a Certified Professional Electrolgist (CPE). I am a member in good standing with the Electrolysis Society of Alberta (ESA). I have been practicing electrolysis for five years.

Robyn

Robyn Sheppard, R.D.H, completed her apprenticeship right here at Nessie’s Electrolysis Clinic in August of 2018, and was granted a Certificate of Clinical Electrolysis by the owner. In October of 2018 Robyn began working at Nessie’s as an independent contractor. Robyn has been an instant success and a great asset to the clinic. Robyn is also our Certified Lash Consultant, and is happy to offer full lash services.
